If you haven't done so already, remove the install.php file and install directory. This is crucial as anyone could run the installation process again and take over your site. You can remove the files with a file manager or with an FTP program, although you must remove the install subdirectories before you can remove the install directory.

With those files removed, you probably want to remove this message after you have read it. You do this by going to Administration -> Contents -> Messages. You'll see the title of the message, marked as ID 1. You can either click on delete or you can edit it and change it to your own message (see New visitor welcome) If you want to save it for reference but remove it from public view, click on Edit and change Active from Yes to No. Now only the administrator (you) can see it.
